Hi Mr.Ottley I had a question on how do you start enjoying you’re art, as I’ve been drawing I find that my enjoyment in drawing and trying to get things down right, even in just practicing and trying to get better at drawing seems more like a chore then enjoyment, I feel like it’s affecting my progress, so i wanted to ask for tips on how to get better or how to enjoy the art I create

A

It is work. You have to hit the books, learn to draw the basics confidently. Basics are perspective, anatomy, composition, balance of light and dark. Once you get fairly confident with those you will enjoy it more, the struggle will decrease quite a lot.
Books I studied: anything by Andrew Loomis, George Bridgeman, anatomy classes, and plenty of real life gesture drawing. Being able to draw whatever I see with out struggle is a great goal to attain. You need to be able to draw from real life references as well as memorized anatomy and clothing and perspective from your mind. Time to put in some serious work. No games. You are your own boss, put yourself to work.
